ABOUT THE RIVERDALE SCHOOL

Situated in a rural setting near the French Broad River, the building provides a step back in time but has been renovated to provide modern conveniences of today.

The original red brick exterior and interior hallways, classrooms and gymnasium are in outstanding condition and the updated infrastructure and energy conservation features have brought this building into the 21st Century.

As home to the French Broad Preservation Association, the building and grounds provide a venue for events devoted to raising awareness about the historical, environmental and cultural resources of the French Broad River communities.

The beautiful grounds, with dramatic views  of the Smoky Mountains, have also served as a venue for many weddings and private events.

Located a few minutes from the Interstate 40 exit 398 and only 20 minutes from downtown Knoxville, it is also conveniently located to the Seven Islands State Birding Park, River Islands Golf Course, and the historic Huffaker Ferry/Cruze Landing boat ramp on the French Broad River.
